Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. acquires LFC Houston, expanding services to now include Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing as well as Land Surveying, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination and GIS.

Fort Worth, Texas April 29, 2010: Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. (G&AI) recently acquired LFC-Houston to add geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing to its current slate of services of land surveying, GIS, subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination. Established in 1990, Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. now maintains a staff of over 80 with six offices located in Fort Worth, Dallas, Houston, Austin and Lubbock.

The complementary services offered by the individual firms made this recent merger a natural progression of events once the discussions began. G&AI’s focus has been largely on the public sector, successfully working with TxDOT, numerous municipalities, school districts, power companies and water districts. LFC brings long standing relationships in the private sector, working with numerous commercial developers and contractors throughout Texas. Both firms have long been known for their responsiveness to clients and commitment to quality. Together, they significantly broaden the services they individually brought to their client bases.

Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. is certified by the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA) and the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA) as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). G&AI is also certified by the State of Texas as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) and by the City of Houston and METRO as an MBE.
